Ready, Set...Organize!!!

THANK YOU so much Kris Koolman for speaking at Elements today! It was truly wonderful & inspiring. I already heard quite a few people thinking about their children's rooms! If you have time...comment at the end of this post about your organizing tips, successes and Ooops!

Time Flies!

It seems like we just started Elements...and now we only have 2 more until Summer Break! May 14 & May 28 will be our last 2 Element Meetings of the season. My amazing friend Kris Koolman will be speaking this next meeting. Kris is a professional organizer and mom of three. We cannot wait to hear some time saving tips!!!

We encourage you to connect with moms over the summer...maybe beach & park dates???? Does anyone want to host a pool party????

Spring Break Melt Down!!!!

I know that for some of you...Spring Break is just starting. For Paso schools...we are coming to the end. I LOVE having my kids at home. There is something so comforting knowing exactly where your kids are...and getting to stay in pjs until noon! Ok...first I have to be honest with you...I have had a major melt down this break...maybe you can identify with me...or maybe you will think I am just CrAzY...which I absolutely am:) My FrEaK out was last week. I have been super busy...and my kids have had to just hang around the house. My vaccuum cleaner recently broke and I just hate to spend money on things like that! My husband came home with a brand new one for me and YES pathetically I was really excited about it. My daughter and son were given the chore of vaccuuming the stairs and were fighting about it....dropped the vacuum down a flight of stairs and broke it. This was not my shining moment as a mom. Lets just say...spitting mad is not just a saying!!! I wanted to fling that vacuum across the room!! I was so mad that they did not care enough about me to not fight and help me out a llittle around here. Ok...I took it a little personal:) So...I made myself a cup of tea and a took timeout...then apologized to my kids. NOT that I was completely wrong...BUT I did apologize for the yelling & spitting. They are so forgiving...thank God. Why I am sharing this with...I do not exactly know.

Maybe someone else had a CrAzY moment too???? This break has been precious in so many ways. I have enjoyed lots of down time with my kids and really having amazing conversations with them. One bad episode did not take away from this time at all.

It was all about LAUGHTER & FUN!!!

Ok...if you were at Elements today you already know that we had a GREAT time!!!!! We laughed and laughed!!! Katy was wonderful and we really got to share some VERY funny stories!! We watched a hysterical clip of Anita Renfroe's momsense song!!! Funny!! We will meet again April 23! That is a whole month away...BUT we are going to start back after Easter with a BIG Birthday Party...for us!!! So...put it on your calendar!

Happy Monday!!!!

It's Monday!!! Oh how I wanted to crawl back into bed this morning!!! I wish I was one of those people that popped out of bed...cheerful and ready for the challenges of the day! I am ready ONLY after a few cups of tea:)

If you were at Elements last week...then you already know how wonderful Nanci was!! She gave us all so much food for thought. Did you try to figure out what Love Language your hubby is??? How about your kids??? We would love to hear from you...any insights or stories you may have. You can always post comments at the bottom of this post. In fact...we LOVE it when you do!

Nanci is a local Christian speaker and has been featured at women's retreats and conferences! Don't miss this Elements...if you don't already know & love Nanci...you will!!! She is soooo funny and makes you feel instantly like you are one of her close friends! Well, I am one of her close friends...so I am probably biased...BUT you will adore her!!! Highland's Youth Group Yard Sale...HELP!!!!

OK...Spring Cleaning is just around the corner. Why not start now and help Highland's Youth Group go to Winter Camp!!! The yard sale is Sat. Feb 7th at 8:00 am in the church parking lot. We are looking for donations...you can drop off items at the church office if the items fit into a black bag otherwise you can drop off on Friday the 6th or bring larger items furniture etc on the day of the sale in the a.m. All proceeds go directly to winter camp, we use the money to pay for kids camp tuition and counselor tuition. We need your help!!! Last week...72 kids came to middle school youth group!!!

This is an easy way to make a BIG difference in a child's life!!! Thank you so much!!!

A Rainy Day, Friends & Elements!!

Today was awesome!!! Caleb opened up our meeting with two beautiful songs...THANK YOU Caleb!!! Eileen shared some wonderful information & tips about prayer and of course...we ate & drank coffee and talked talked talked!!! My favorite part about Elements is getting to know everyone on a deeper level! It is just not possible on Saturday night or Sunday morning to relax and really get to know one another. I LOVE the sharing of stories...makes me realize I am NOT the only crazy Mom!!!

If you were not able to make it today....you were missed and we hope that you have a beautiful week!!! We hope to see everyone on February 12th and don't forget to bring friends!!!!

Elements...The Place to Make Connections!

Our 1st Elements meeting on January 8, was a HUGE success and sooooo much fun!!! We had about 25 moms...lots of food and good conversation!
